Perched on the edge of Wandsworth Common, we’re proud to be part of the area’s long-standing tradition of good food, good company, and a well-poured pint. Summer just gives us a bit more room to play with.

When the sun’s out, everything shifts outside. Think birthdays that spill into the garden, long-table lunches that turn into evening drinks, and those sit-back-and-relax moments.

Whether you’re pulling together a laid-back get-together, a family celebration, or a full summer party in Wandsworth Common, we’ve got the space to make it work. The Snug keeps things a little more tucked away for smaller groups, while the Common Room is ready for bigger occasions, with its own bar and plenty of character. Or take things outdoors and make the most of the season.

Can I book an outside space?

The outside spaces are run on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Can I bring my dog along?

Of course, we love our furry little friends! All we ask is for is that they be kept on a lead at all times.

Can we buy takeaway's for the Common?

We do takeaway drinks and snacks that you can enjoy basking on the sunny Common. You can also order through our click and collect system, directly from the common.

We chose the Althorp’s ‘Common Room’ to celebrate our daughter and her cousin’s christening party. James and the team were just excellent. As the event approached, the buffet menu was personalised to our choice and they catered for all our guests’ needs. Given the importance of the event to us, we were really reassured each step of the way - from booking to the day. The food was top notch, as was the service and environment. Nothing was too much trouble and we were all at ease. A big big thank you to the Althorp (and James)!

Amazing spot for a dinner just in the heart of Wandsworth common! We were welcoming greeted by lovely Dominica and being sat in a common room. Luigi was looking after us all evening ( he did perfect job, knowing that he still was quite new to this place) We shared some stutters, crispy squid was absolutely amazing! For mains we had 4 stakes which I absolutely recommend! Bar stuff (James and Finn) were extremely helpful and funny. This place have an amazing vibe and we’ll definitely will be back! Highly recommended 🫶🏻

Gorgeous and cosy, The Althorp is our new favourite little local in Wandsworth. The new manager, Richard, is brilliant and welcoming, and Sophia's service was very warm and also welcoming. We had the Day boat fish chowder and my god, is that chowder good. The food has really improved in the last few months and I recommend it highly - props to the chef! Cheers guys, see you soon!
